About the Course
This 24-video series offers simplified explanations of Eric Berne’s 1964 classic Games People Play. Berne showed us how much of human interaction is shaped by “games”—repetitive patterns that are baffling, sometimes amusing, and often destructive. From the classic Why Don’t You — Yes But to the subtler manoeuvres of self-sabotage, these games explain why we stumble into the same patterns at home and at work.
Why This Course Now
While Berne’s book became a bestseller and introduced millions to Transactional Analysis, its dense, clinical style can feel inaccessible today. This course makes it:
Each video includes a checklist to recognise your own patterns, journaling prompts to deepen reflection, and a short multiple-choice test to integrate your learning. The first video is free so you can experience the course before joining.
Course Outline
The program unfolds in 24 videos, beginning with Berne’s most well-known games and moving through everyday patterns, double binds and organizational dynamics. We also include bystander games, and games played on a large scale.
